The world wide web keeps on evolving and changing. The increased use of mobile devices and touchscreens change the way webpages are used. Browsers offer new features like realtime-updates of webpages, 3d graphics, native video and audio. This course is aimed at people who alread have experiece with HTML, CSS and Javascript and who are looking for a efficient hands-on way of catching up with new developments. We will cover both new technologies like HTML5, CSS3, websockets, WebGL and als tools and libraries for web development like firebug, Selenium, jquery etc.
This course will cover the topics quickly and give you the opportunity to apply them right away. It is not a basic introduction for beginners!

Ruby is a open source scripting language. It is used in the popular web development framework „ruby on rails"
This course offers a quick introduction to the language: syntax, distinctive features, typical coding style.
