Planning an international career? This workshop equips you with the communication and teamwork skills needed in international settings. Your expertise is essential, but succeeding across cultures requires adaptability, cultural insight, and strong collaboration skills. Moving beyond basic job-hunting, we focus on intercultural communication through engaging, hands-on experiences. The sessions are insightful and dynamic: you will discover your strengths, navigate cultural challenges, and gain new perspectives. Guided by an experienced team of lecturers, you will develop practical skills for effective intercultural collaboration. You will learn how to: • Decode intercultural communication – shift from quick judgments to precise, context-aware understanding. • Navigate global team dynamics – integrate multiple perspectives to avoid common pitfalls and co-create inclusive strategies. • Act with confidence – recognize non-verbal cues to build trust and professional credibility.
Voraussetzungen:
Die Teilnehmenden sollten ihre eigenen Laptops mit bereits installiertem MS Office mitbringen.
Grundkenntnisse: Sicherer Umgang mit MS-Office-Anwendungen, insbesondere PowerPoint.
Soft Skills & Mindset: Ideale Teilnehmende sind neugierig, kulturell offen und bringen einen kooperativen Teamgeist mit.
Biographie: Susanne Radtke
Susanne P. Radtke, Professor at Ulm University of Applied Sciences, brings over 30 years of academic and professional expertise in Graphic and Media Design. For more than a decade, she chaired a testing committee for the German Chamber of Commerce in Berlin. Since 2009, she has developed and led intercultural workshops primarily in Southeast Asia, Europe, and the USA (www.intercultural-design-workshop.com). Her publications, including Intercultural Design Basics: Advancing Cultural and Social Awareness Through Design, reflect her commitment to promoting diverse perspectives by using creative, visual methods to facilitate intercultural communication. Her approach focuses on practical relevance and a lively, hands-on experience.
Biographie: Nisa-Meryem Cekmeci
Nisa-Meryem Çekmeci is a Master’s student in Applied Design Research at Munich University of Applied Sciences and a working student in Product Design at the tech company PAYBACK. She gained intercultural expertise during her Bachelor’s studies as a project assistant in cooperation with a partner university in Indonesia. In addition to her social engagement (e.g., UNICEF), she is a scholar of the Hans-Rudolf Foundation and the TalentE³ excellence program. Furthermore, she was supported by the EXIST-Women program and received the Meduc Award.
