Clothes tell stories. How did they emerge? Who bought them? Why were they disposed? use-less shows what hides in our wardrobes and what the idea of «Slow Fashion» is. Regardless of whether jeans, shirts or nylon stockings — clothes emerge in complex production processes with consequences for humans and environment. The exhibition show the results of the Slow Fashion research done by the Hochschule Hannover. The design projects make clear that fashion can be designed durably, ressource-savingly and beautifully. At the same time the exhibitions asks what users can change with their way of consumation. Not only waiver but also transparency and participation are important to design sustainable fashion. Therefore the protection of the environment and fair working condition are as important as the material, creativity and aesthetics.
